Literature Text
She was just four years old
kicking her feet
harder and harder,
as the swingset creaked
and cracked
She finally reached the peak,
jumped off,
and said,
"Mama, I'm gonna fly."
and so she did;
three feet into the air,
sticking the landing
like a gymnast
And I wonder everyday
if those were the same words
she muttered
before jumping off that bridge,
unable to remember,
you only fly for a little while.
kicking her feet
harder and harder,
as the swingset creaked
and cracked
She finally reached the peak,
jumped off,
and said,
"Mama, I'm gonna fly."
and so she did;
three feet into the air,
sticking the landing
like a gymnast
And I wonder everyday
if those were the same words
she muttered
before jumping off that bridge,
unable to remember,
you only fly for a little while.

Let the Fall Make You Stronger.
"Hey! Are you all right?"
"Sure, why wouldn't I be?"
"Um...because you just fell from the roof of the hou-"
"See, that's where you're wrong. I didn't fall. The floor challenged me and I accepted."
"And how did that go for you?"
"The floor won. But only because it had the advantage."
"Of being non sentient and vast in size, along with the fact that there is a freaking storm out!!"
"Nope. I just attacked from the wrong position."
"Backwards?"
"I overestimated my skills."
"I'll say. You're bleeding!"
"Only a little. Ask me again."
"What?"
"If I'm fine."
"Are you?"
"Nope."
"Is it because you're bleeding?"
"You're supposed to ask

Can Your Parents Relate?
You, the girl in the corner of your bedroom
That with each passing year since birth
Has had her confidence sold to those that stare
For so much less than it is worth
When it should be a priceless commodity
Especially to a doting dad
Is he not supposed to give to his child
All the things that he never had?
You, the girl in the corner of the classroom
That has forgotten how to smile
Are you tired of being told it’s just a phase
And you’ll snap out of it in a while?
It should be obvious that you are struggling
Especially to a loving mum
As she's already lived through those tearful days
That for you have yet to come
You, the gir

Suicide is not the answer, you only fly for a little while. And unlike the swing set, you won't be sticking the landing. I'm here for any and all of you.
